Hope.

I was reading last night and I came upon a verse that made things make sense to me.

D&C 58:3

"Ye cannot behold with your natural eyes, for the present time, the design of your God concerning those things which shall come hereafter, and the glory which shall follow after much tribulation. "

I like it. It makes me think that good things are in store.

Thanksgiving

Things I am thankful for:
(in no particular order)

Chapstick
if anyone knows me, they know I cannot exist without some sort of lip treatment. I usually have 3 on me an
d if I don't, the first thing I do is go to the store. I NEED it.

The relationship i have with my parents

I was lucky and was born with the personality of being a daddy's girl AND a momma's girl. To this day, they are the best friends I could ever ask for. I tell them almost everything.

My sisters
My sisters are me. They are a part of who I am, my best and eternal friends. When one of us hurts, we all hurt just like when one is happy, we are all happy. Love you chicas.

Good friends
good times and memories are made with these people. I'm lucky to have good, fun, adventurous friends.

The Piano
Nothing affects me like music. When I was a teenager and when I had a piano easily accessible, I would play for hours...

Laura
Laura is my best friend. She is one that I always can count on. I honestly can't say how much I love this girl and how glad we are still so
close even when we have opposite lives!
The Gospel
this sounds cliché, but the gospel really holds the answer to everything. I love it!!! And am so grateful for my testimony!

Cute shoes
Need I say any explanation for this? I mean, c'mom, a cute new pair of shoes does miracles.

I'm thankful for my love of animals
I've always had an extreme love for animals. I somehow connect with them, sometimes better than I do with humans!

Tylenol PM
this is just good stuff. And its NON-addictive. So no lectures please. :)

Halloween.

Here are some pics from Halloween and the parties I went to. I didn't go to bed til 4am. I am getting too old to stay up that late! It was fun though!

I was gothic? a punk? I really don't know.
My cute friend Ash was a witch.
I had fake nose rings and magnetic lip rings.
The lip rings hurt like crazy - I thought they were going to bore a hole with the magnetic energy that I was experiencing!!
Ree was a Kitty. Amigos
The 3 Amigas.
( Ree, Erica, and Moi)This is my friend Kyle.
He was definately the creepiestThese guys marched in thinking they were so clever dressing up as Michael Phelps. They were flexing like this for over an hour. I wanted to gag. Gross. Like anyone wants to see that. Then I pointed out, in front of everyone, to the kid on the right of the photo, that his sock was sticking out the top of his swimsuit. I don't think he likes me anymore. :)

Sidenote - NO I did not take a picture of them. I snagged this one from my friend.

New Goal for '09

This. I'm doing it. Yay!

The last race I ran - I lost 3 toenails... but have since learned that you should buy your shoes at LEAST 1/2 size larger than normal. Some runners even get up to 2 sizes larger. Knowing me, and my lack of coordination, I think I'll just stick to the 1/2 larger (which have been excellente) - I trip easily.

My lack of coordination is present in manyactivities. Once at work, I was standing perfectly still straight up, not moving while talking to my boss when suddenly I just collapsed. Fell. ALL the way to the ground. He just stood above me with abewildered look on his face, not knowing what to do. The fall could have been caused by the 4.5 inch heels I was wearing. Embarrassing, but nevertheless, funny.

Boo.

What should I be for Halloween?? I have a few ideas up my sleeve but still not sure. Here are a few of the ideas:

* Get 2 other girl friends and 1 guys friend and dress up as polygamists

* Wonderwoman - one that wears g's of course....

* Hannah Montana (just because I think it'd be funny as an adult)

*Ugly Betty

*80's aerobics instructor

*what else???

To get some ideas I've been to the many costume stores that pop up around this time of year and realized once again that Halloween time is an excuse for girls to dress slutty!! Sheesh!!

Leave me some ideas of good costume ideas. Non-slutty ones porfa.

OH ya - Michelle is in the hospital getting ready to have her baby....YAY!

Man Accuses Maryland Doctor of Stapling Buttocks Shut
Friday, September 26, 2008
Foxnews.com

Arguments began Monday in a federal lawsuit alleging that a Maryland doctor stapled a man's rectum shut during an operation, rendering him unable to move his bowels for 17 days, the Baltimore Examiner reported.
Ronald Watkins, 64, of West Virginia, has accused Dr. Manuel Casiano, a doctor in Frederick County, Maryland for botching a September 2004 surgery that left him with permanent bowel problems, according to the report.
But an attorney representing Casiano told jurors the doctor did not staple Watkins' buttocks shut.
Attorney Conrad Varner said Watkins’ bowels became “swollen shut” because of medical problems — not because of stapling and that his two-pack-a-day smoking habit added to his bowel problems, the Examiner reported.
Watkins' attorney, Julia Lodowski argued that the medical error was in fact caused by Casiano and has led Watkins to experience continual “rectal discharge," which requires him to wipe himself between 12 and 15 times a day.
Lodowski said Watkins also needed four “unnecessary surgeries” because of the alleged mistake.
